Frances & Martin – Perth Wedding Photography

Martin got ready on an amazing boat and arrived in style to the ceremony in Fremantle. We love the cufflinks the boys received as presents from Martin and we also love the suits and bow ties they wore {can you say stylish?}. Martin pulled off the James Bond look very well! Meanwhile the girls started their day at Toni & Guy in Subiaco, getting their hair and makeup done. Frances looked beautiful in her Martina Liana gown and she wore some killer high heels that came all the way from London. This lovely couple married inside the New Maritime Museum joined by close friends and family. Later, we went on location in Fremantle which was fun {although a little cold} before heading to the reception which was also held at the Maritime Museum. We hope you guys had a blast at your reception and thanks for letting us take part in your special day! Much love and appreciation K&J

Amy & Kyle – Perth Wedding photography

Some of you may remember Amy & Kyle from their Fremantle engagement session back in October last year (http://www.mergephotography.com.au/amy-kyle-engagement-session/), its amazing just how fast time has flown by since then and in a blink of an eye we’ve found ourselves photographing their wedding on the weekend. These two lovebirds have been together since they were 16, even so, on their special day you could just see the love & admiration they have for each other shining thru. Amy is probably one of the most organized brides we’ve had, we just loved the effort she put into the invites and stationary for her wedding and she scored extra brownie points by reserving us a parking bay at the church! Its was such a pleasure to be a part of your day & so lovely to be welcomed into your family home. Amy your smile lights up the room, we hope you and Kyle danced the night away and have an amazing honeymoon. Much love and appreciation J&K

Julia & Ryan – Perth Wedding Photography

Julia and Ryan married at Kidogo Arthouse in Fremantle on a beautiful sunny April day! Ryan studied in Fremantle and they love the rustic industrial feel to the place so picking this location really meant something to them as a couple. Julia had a vision in her mind for the wedding to be simple, relaxed & elegant with a touch of rustic charm, which works so well with Fremantle. She picked a colour for the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses that matched the colour of the succulents in the bouquets & flowers. We also loved the letter print stamps used as decorations at the reception to add to that rustic feel and the wall of photos hanging up to show their memories together. Being an event planner would have helped out heaps as Julia was so relaxed for the whole day. They celebrated their reception at the Deck Bar at Little Creatures in Fremantle. It was our first wedding reception there and we are big fans. We hope you had a lovely night and thank you for letting us take part in your special day! Much Love and appreciation K&J

Elyshe & Brody – Perth Wedding Photography

Such a sweet and beautiful couple {just like fig jam}! Brody proposed to Elyshe under a Fig tree and the same figs were used to create jam for their guests as a gift at the wedding. Elyshe looked stunning in her Soul Sisters gown and Brody looked pretty snazzy in his Jack London suit. The flowers and invitations were the hard work of Elyshe and the fabulous cake the hard work of her sister. We we’re super excited about the theme for the wedding, old and run down mixed with soft & clean, a real rustic and vintage styled day. The wedding ceremony was held in a Rustic Barn joined by close friends and family that just squeezed in tightly. Elyshe’s parent’s property in Australind was used for the reception, which her dad {Brett} and helpers prepared for months prior to the wedding day. They did a fabulous job! We had heaps of fun with you guys and we hope you had a blast at your reception. Much love and appreciation K&J

Michelle & Daniel – Perth Wedding Photography

We met Michelle (the red haired glamorous gal) & Daniel (the devilishly handsome man) at the First Comes Love bridal fair last year, the fabulous Mitchell & Dent (the Brains behind Studio Bomba & First Comes Love) also played a part in Michelle & Daniels day, they were the creatives behind the stunning Invitations and stationary. Michelle & Daniel had a coastal theme to their day, saying their “I do’s” at the Cottesloe Civic Center and then the reception at the Breakwater in Hillarys. We loved Daniel’s stylish blue suit, brown tie and shoes from David Jones (It’s always great to see a groom think outside the box and style it up) and Michelle looked stunning in her dress from Hobnob, they complimented each other perfectly. It was such a pleasure to document this wonderful day and although we ran a little short on time (and light) we hope you both enjoyed the moment. Carly & Daniel – Perth Wedding Photography

These two love birds met at UWA doing an archaeological field school in February (on a stinking hot day), they were friends for about 6 months before romance sparked & they stared to date! Carly and Daniel got married on the 13th of April at St Georges Cathedral and celebrated their reception at Blue Water Grill in Applecross. The wedding day also happened to be a warm one so we had little breaks in between for Carly & Daniel to get some energy back. We did some photos at the start of the day with Carly’s dads vintage car which was very special and finished our location photos at a building in the city that’s one of the oldest buildings in Perth. We hope you guys had heaps of fun at your reception and even better time on your honeymoon (have a cocktail for us)! Much love and appreciations K&J

Anne & Jeremy – Perth Wedding Photography

This gorgeous couple (Anne and Jeremy) booked us to photograph their wedding while on a 12 month round the world trip. Jeremy had decided to propose to Anne while they were away and the great part was that Anne got to go shopping for wedding dresses while she was still overseas (and got to purchase her stunning dress from Alice Temperley in London)! From their very first email Anne & Jeremy has told us they wanted their wedding to be a Garden party, long table, grazing lunch affair with vintage/rustic touches and a Jazz band to boot… and it was exactly that. Making sure that they spent the majority of their day with their guests was of great importance so we kept our location shots to a minimum and headed on back to Anne’s Mum’s house in Dalkeith for the reception. We adore afternoon receptions (so much daylight to work with!) and Anne & Jeremy’s was just perfect. They toasted, clapped and kissed but most importantly they enjoyed the moment and hopefully partied on well into the night! We knew this was going to be a great day but we had no idea just how lovely your friends, family, and day would be and we’re so thankful to have been a part of it all. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness. Much love and appreciation J&K

Tamika & Sam – Perth Wedding Photography

Wedding photos at Secret Garden Yallingup

Tamika & Sam heard about us from Emma (Tamika’s sister) who happens to be in the industry running her own business called Milla Makeup. Emma did a fabulous job with the makeup on all of the girls! The boys seemed very relaxed and casual while at the girls, Tamika was left with some last minute decisions to make. It just started to rain when the ceremony was getting set up and it looked like it was here to stay. Tamika stuck to her guns and was optimistic that the rain would pass & made the decision to keep the ceremony where it was. Which worked out for the best as it did stop raining half way through the ceremony. There was a lot of emotions when dad gave Tamika away and Sam couldn’t keep his eyes off her. The ceremony was held at the Secret Garden in Margaret River (we get so excited when we go to new places) and the reception was celebrated at Wills Domain Winery (also a beautiful venue). The light dropped very quickly so we got some quick shots at the Secret Garden and found some more light at the winery. We hope you love birds had a fabulous time at your reception! Orietta & Hilan – Perth Wedding Photography

This is a little glimpse into the first day of Orietta & Hilan’s marriage. It’s almost impossible to convey what a wonderful couple these two are & what a beautiful group of loved ones surrounded them on their wedding day. Their closest friends and family watched on as they said their vows at the UWA Sunken Gardens and helped to celebrate in style later on at Frasers at Kings Park. Mount Lawley is these two lovebirds stomping grounds {it’s also where they first met} so we felt it only fitting to head there for some photos during the afternoon as well. This day literally flew by and we thank you for inviting us to document your wedding, we hope it marks the beginning of even more amazingness in your lives & that you enjoy some of the highlights that stick in our minds. Philippa & Luke – Perth Wedding Photography

Philippa contacted us in September last year via email about their vintage garden style wedding and sight unseen booked us straight away {thanks for putting so much trust in us & loving our work}. So we met this gorgeous hipster couple on their wedding day. It was a very intimate ceremony with about 65 guests at the beautiful Garden Art Studio in Yallingup. We loved the pastel coloured dresses the bridesmaids wore and Phillipa looked stunning in her gown. They joined their guests at Lamont’s Winery which was decorated with lots of colour and handmade {by mum} typewriter place cards which looked lovely.
