Dale & Maria – Donnelly River Wedding
I wish I could put into words just how amazing Dale & Maria’s Donnelly River wedding was. I think it’s one of those days where you literally had to be there. These kinds of weddings are my absolute fav. Simple, from the heart and one hell of a party. I mean, honestly, what’s not to love about being out in nature surrounded by tall trees, kangaroos, emus and all of your best friends and family?
Donnelly is unique in that you have almost the whole place to yourself and you are so remote (no phone signal). The quaint worker’s cottages (now accommodation) have so much character, the locals (i.e. the roo’s & emus) think they’re your best friends and you can literally party right into the night under the stars.
Dale & Maria are my kind of people. Right down to their taste in music and love for some goooood ice-cream! Their day was a bit like an emotional rollercoaster, Everybody swaying between happy tears and side-splitting laughter. Both Dale and Maria’s parents were just the sweetest people and I can’t forget to mention Dale’s grandparents, particularly his granddad, who had been ill just weeks before the wedding but was determined to be there on the day, they just melted my heart.
It was the kind of day I wish I could relive over and over, and the kind of people that make me truly love what I do. Jx
